The assessment of recreational value of Qaem forest park in Kerman using contingent valuation method

Valuation of environmental resources plays an important role in environmental economics in recent years. Qaem eco-park is one of the most important recreation areas inKermanprovince. Estimation of recreational value of the park, using contingent valuation method is the purpose of this study. To achieve this goal and estimation of people’s willingness to pay, Logit model based on maximum likelihood method was used. Data for this study have been collected by 115 questionnaires. The results showed that the average of WTP for person to visit the park is 2157 Rials and households’ WTP is 178,191.33 Rials. According to the results, one percent increase in the bid price decreases the probability of its acceptation by 40.5 percent. Also, the results show that variable of income has the most effectiveness on acceptation of bid prices.
